The pain
A shoebox of receipts, and a spreadsheet you're afraid to open.
Our promise
Cloud bookkeeping reconciled every month. You see clean, current numbers each time you log in — not once a year, after the fact.
CPA firm · Vancouver, BC
Pacific Ledger is a boutique CPA practice for incorporated professionals and growing businesses across Metro Vancouver. Fixed monthly fees, cloud bookkeeping and year-round planning — from an accountant who answers in plain English, within one business day.
Most owners we meet aren't behind because they're careless — they're behind because nobody is driving. Here is what changes.
The pain
A shoebox of receipts, and a spreadsheet you're afraid to open.
Our promise
Cloud bookkeeping reconciled every month. You see clean, current numbers each time you log in — not once a year, after the fact.
The pain
An accountant who goes silent from May to February.
Our promise
Email answered within one business day, all year. Planning check-ins are built into your plan — not billed as a favour.
The pain
A surprise bill every April — for the tax, and for the accounting itself.
Our promise
One fixed monthly fee agreed in writing up front, and a tax estimate you've seen months before any deadline.
The pain
A brown envelope from the CRA, and no idea what it means.
Our promise
Forward it the day it arrives — unopened, if you like. We handle CRA correspondence, reviews and audits as your authorized representative.
Every engagement is scoped in writing and covered by one fixed fee. These are the six pillars — take one, or take the lot.
Compilation financial statements and your T2, filed well before the deadline — with a one-page letter in plain English on what changed and why.

"The cheapest tax you'll ever pay is the one you planned for."
Pacific Ledger · Downtown VancouverMost accounting is archaeology — a dig through a year that's already over, finished with a bill you didn't see coming. Pacific Ledger was built the other way around: monthly books that stay current, a tax plan written while it can still change the outcome, and one fixed fee agreed before we lift a pen.
We're a small practice on purpose. Every file is prepared and reviewed by a CPA — a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia — and you will never be handed off to a rotating cast of juniors.
Choose a plan, get the scope in writing, and budget your accounting like any other utility. All prices in Canadian dollars.

Rated 5 out of 5Pacific Ledger took over books that were fourteen months behind and had us caught up before year-end. Our GST filings just… happen now. For the first time, I know what the café actually makes on a Tuesday.
Rated 5 out of 5The salary-and-dividend plan they wrote in October saved me a little over $9,000 against what I'd been doing on my old accountant's advice. And they answer email the same day — which still feels like magic.
Rated 5 out of 5When the CRA reviewed our input tax credits, Pacific Ledger handled every letter. I forwarded one email and went back to running the store. Review closed — no adjustment.
Yes — it's the most common way clients arrive. With your authorization we request your files and carry-forward balances directly from your previous accountant, take over CRA correspondence, and pick up the bookkeeping wherever it stopped. Any catch-up work is quoted as a one-time flat fee before we start.
Everything named in your written scope: the bookkeeping cadence, year-end statements and T2, the T1 returns listed, GST, PST and payroll filings, your planning sessions — plus unlimited quick questions by email. If something falls outside scope, you get a quote first, not an invoice after.
Your T2 return is due six months after your fiscal year-end — but any balance owing is due earlier: two months after year-end for most corporations, three months for many Canadian-controlled private corporations claiming the small business deduction. We diarize both dates and get you the numbers well before either.
A rough test: if the business reliably earns more than you need to live on, incorporation can defer significant tax at BC's small business rate. If you draw out every dollar, it mostly adds cost and paperwork. Liability and how you pay yourself matter too — we model both scenarios with your actual numbers before you decide.
Your choice. Most clients run entirely through our secure portal, e-signatures and video calls; plenty come to the Downtown Vancouver office once a year for the year-end review. The service — and the CPA — is identical either way.
Don't ignore it, and don't panic — most are routine pre-assessment or processing reviews with a 30-day response window. Send it to us the day it arrives. As your authorized representative we deal with the CRA directly, and you get a plain-English translation of what it actually says.
